As a 29 year old, I don't have many Harmon Killebrew memories. What I do know? "The Killer" was quite the name for a guy that nobody disliked. Ever since I was a little boy, I knew who Harmon Killebrew was. The reason? My parent's generation. It's pretty amazing to hear how that generation idolized Killebrew, but doing so without a single bad thing to say about him. You didn't have to grow up watching Harmon Killebrew to realize the impact he had on the game of baseball, not just in Minnesota, but across the league. You also didn't have to grow up watching him to realize the legacy he'll leave behind.
Goodbye to one of the good guys...you'll be missed "Killer".
